THE TOWER OF DEN BOSCH
Sint Jacobsstraat 10 Vlissingen
This tablet was made for
a standard bearer
in the service of prince Frederik Hendrik,
the son of William of Orange.
During the besiegement of the town of Den Bosch
he succeeded in replacing the Spanish flag
for the one of the prince.
The maker was an apprentice stone-cutter,
who made this master piece
in order to become a master.
